I’m super-stoked because over the weekend the Living in Financial Excellence blog dropped under the 200,000 mark for its Alexa traffic ranking. That was the goal we had since beginning the Yakezie Challenge. Since last December our traffic rank has dropped from 2,800,000 to 197,778. That’s an incredible improvement in traffic in less than eight months.
A large part of that improvement was building relationships with other bloggers, promoting their content, and spending time on their blogs to comment and help their blogs grow. That’s part of the selflessly promoting others that defines the Yakezie culture. By promoting others and expecting nothing in return, we enjoyed a nice growth in our daily visitors.
Now that we met the 200,000 goal, we get to apply for official membership in the Yakezie network (did that yesterday). Assuming we’re approved, we’ll get the opportunity to write a member post on the main Yakezie site. After that we get to help other challengers and members continue to grow, in addition to helping our audience grow. Too cool.
My next goal is to drive the traffic ranking to under 100,000 in six months, where we will be in the company of some very elite blogs. Wish me luck!
